Grounded Fragility-Ungrounded stability| 2022
This is a performative practice that explores being grounded but still fragile. Grounded fragility (or ungrounded stability?). Starting with memories, the work is exploring the relationship between the roots of identity and the -always in motion- world. Inspired by the tree and the forest, the work is trying to explore some aspects of trees’ life through imagination, a sensorial approach in movement, and poetics. During the process, trees' life was approached by embodying principals of trees' behaviour, for example how trees are stable in their base and roots net but still fragile on their branches which are affected by storms and wind.
We breathe in what trees breathe out, Trees breathe in what we breathe out.
